Peter Thomas Roth Anti-Aging Buffing Beads

I have used Peter Thomas Roth Anti-Aging Cleansing Gel in the past with good results so I jumped at the opportunity to use the Anti-Aging Buffing Beads when I received a sample.
Here is a description of the product:
Based on the same formulation as the Anti-Aging Cleansing Gel, this effective scrub uses glycolic acid complex and salicylic acid to exfoliate dead skin cells, stimulate cellular turnover, and smooth fine lines and wrinkles. Botanical brighteners help give skin a refreshed tone, while ultra-fine jojoba beads gently refine skin’s texture for a smoother, youthful appearance.
I do not have a problem with acne but I do have the occasional breakout. My skin also tends to swing from normal to oily but I have been able to manage the oiliness using a combination of products that I will discuss in future posts.
After using the product consistently for two weeks there have been no “smoothing” of wrinkles. I do have a few fine lines, no deep wrinkles but there have been no smoothing.
One good thing I can say about the beads however is that they seem to have refined my pores, they are tighter than ever and it appears to have controlled the shine to a tolerable level. Also during the two weeks I have not had a single breakout although it is too soon to make a call on this.
Would I purchase this product?
I just might, for myself or perhaps to gift to someone. I love the clean and fresh feeling I get after use and the improved texture of my skin. Also I can say that a little goes a long way so good value for money.

Vanicream Sunscreen – Sensitive Skin

Whenever I hear the name Vanicream, great value and affordable price comes immediately comes to mind.
If you have tried Vanicream in the past and weren’t impressed you should give them a try now. I think their formula have improved drastically. I use Vanicream Sunscreen – Sensitive Skin in the late evenings or when it is not so bright outside and save my more expensive Anthelios XL for when it is brighter out.
If you have sensitive skin as I do you are sure to have had an experience where upon purchasing a product that claimed to be hypoallergenic you break out in everything imaginable. Not so with Vanicream sunscreen for Sensitive Skin.
The only bad thing I can say about Vanicream is that the cream itself is quite thick so it feels a little bit much when you rub it in. It could be because of the weight of the cream you will sweat a bit if you plan to go into the direct sunlight. This is partly why I choose to use it when it is a bit cooler.

If you want to combat the shiny look that the cream brings to your face you can always pat on little foundation although I caution you to keep it light to prevent breakouts.
All in all if protection from UVA and UVB rays is your top priority and you want it at a good price and you’re willing to overlook a little greasiness then VaniCream Sunscreen is the one for you.
Dove Body Wash With NutrimMoisture

I spend a large portion of my life at home at working at my computer. Except for bi-weekly date nights with my husband and the occasional business related event I rarely get the chance to glam up. Sometimes I get dressed and made up just to work at my computer, sad but true.
Over the last four years, since my son made his appearance in our lives, my needs, too complex to go into right now are very simple. I look for products that can stand up to my daily routine of being a business owner, mom and wife. I want products that save time and ideally will acheive mulitiple benefits in one go. Is that too much to ask for?
I don’t think so! Some manufacturers sit up and pay attention to the voices of women and others, well they just come up with their own ideas. One brand I am continuously amazed by is Dove. I have tried several body washes by Dove but recently I purchased the Dove Body Wash With NutrimMoisturer, Gentle Exfoliating.
I believe they answered my prayers. I can exfoliate, wash and moisturize all at the same time. What a time saver! At first I kept my routine and applied lotion to my skin after I took a shower but on careful inspection I realized that I really didn’t need to. Its that good, it does what is says it will. My skin, looks and feels amazing and I love it AND as an added bonus, my husband loves it.
I hope to try the Deep Moisture next and I am sure it will be just as good. Thank you Dove, you’ve done it again!
